Training Center
Unique in this area, our training centre has a suite which provides a mock up of a typical home including bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area. This means carers in training can not only practice techniques such as hoisting clients from wheel chair to bath but they are also encouraged to sit and be lifted in the hoist; the powerlessness and vulnerability that many people will feel, is then experienced first hand by the trainee.
Here at Corban Care Ltd the trainers are involved in a company providing hands on care for people in the community, not far removed in an academic or training only facility. Our trainers are all qualified nurses as well as having additional qualifications in their individual areas of expertise. They all hold PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) certification. The direct experience of the every day challenges of delivering care in the community, ensures our training stays relevant, focused and up to date with new regulations. Most importantly our in-house courses are designed to equip the carer with appropriate skills to help them deliver high quality professional care services.
Corban Care ltd
Corban Care Ltd has invested heavily in training. In order to deliver the high quality domicilary care services that we offer. Corban Care Ltd has has recruited experienced, well qualified trainers in developing our new training centre. We are an approved centre with OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA) and can deliver NVQ training in Health and Social Care.
Our centre is now a provider of training to care assistants in West and Mid Wales, available for the public and private sector care organisations as well as for our own staff. Unlike other care training providers in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Corban Care Ltd offers “portable” training which means if you run a Nursing Home or other care establishment, your staff can be trained in situ.
